Passing Mirage (written Feb 26 2013)
What once started as real friendship
Is now replaced by a coldness so deep
Where there once was innocent talk and laughter
There rings a silence so heavy and cloaked in fear.
What once felt as easy as breathing
Is gone, replaced by a choking feeling
Where there was mutual trust and respect
Now sadly feels empty, by a wicked twist of fate.
What brought about this Change
That swept apart these Souls
What Divine Purpose, had them converge
Only to depart as strangers.
Unforseen are the ways of the Universe
Unknown still, the Wisdom that commands
What seemed like a sweet presence
Was nothing more than a passing mirage.
Is gone, replaced by a choking feeling
Where there was mutual trust and respect
Now sadly feels empty, by a wicked twist of fate.
What brought about this Change
That swept apart these Souls
What Divine Purpose, had them converge
Only to depart as strangers.
Unforseen are the ways of the Universe
Unknown still, the Wisdom that commands
What seemed like a sweet presence
Was nothing more than a passing mirage.
